Week 10 – Classmate Interview – Shannon Choi

Shannon Choi is a freshman at CSULB. She is majoring in communications and has a passion for art. Some of her hobbies include listening to music and doing anything she enjoys! Her favorite type of food is Korean.

She is from Valencia and is dorming at The Beach. She was determining whether to attend either Santa Cruz or Long Beach, and chose Long Beach and loves it!

She really likes this Art class because she has a passion for art, especially contemporary art. This past summer, she went to many museums and saw all different types and forms of art. She really enjoys the unique and creative aspect of art and how we all interpret them differently.

One of the most interesting pieces of art she’s seen this semester is the tissue box displayed in last week’s exhibit. As we were talking and getting to know each other this week, we really liked the art pieces, “Snap, Crackle, Pop” by Dana Fleming. These were very colorful pieces and showcased different types of objects and things in everyday life. We really liked the vibrant colors and the materials these sculptures were made of and how they were displayed.
